Something Less than Intended aims to be a bridge between a recent past and a present that seems to have definitively left it for dead.
If anything deeply vital marked a certain punk scene of the 1990s and 2000s, it was its social activism, which, in various, asymmetrical, and heterogeneous forms, indelibly shaped those times.
Like any bridge, it aims to allow those experiences to travel from the past to communicate again with the present, perhaps still managing to influence how we navigate the folds of our realities.
About
Something Less than Intended produces merchandise that is no longer available—or perhaps never existed—the proceeds of which are destined for organizations, associations, or other similar entities that share common goals.
However, this is not a byproduct of nostalgia, nor is it intended to celebrate a thirty-year-old fetish. Rather, it is a way to revisit that past, addressing both those who were there and those who weren’t yet.
The goal is to start from there, recover that tangle of shared experiences, and build a concrete impact on the real world together.
Minimal Possible Impact
The t-shirts we have selected are made from organic/recycled cotton, sourced from fair-trade markets that combat worker exploitation.
They are also hand screen-printed locally, aiming to create a high-quality product that is socially sustainable, outside the logic of consumer products available on more popular platforms.
Preorder
To avoid overproduction and the consequent waste of resources, we have decided to work exclusively on a preorder basis.
Each batch will be available for preorder only for a limited time period, after which it will go into production and will no longer be available.
If the minimum quota is not reached, the t-shirt will not be produced, and preorders will be canceled and refunded. In this way, we hope to further reduce environmental impact.
Music and Society (Once Again)
Excluding production and sustainability costs, the proceeds will support socially active organizations, with each contribution trackable through our official channels.
The intention is to give a direct voice to the bands, allowing them, even though they are no longer musically active, to continue to play a role within their communities and autonomously choose where to allocate the project’s proceeds.
